Help & How It Works

Using Index Factory on PulseChain

1. Connect your wallet

Use the Connect Wallet button in the header to connect MetaMask or another EVM-compatible wallet. Make sure you are on the PulseChain network (chain ID 369). Once connected, your address appears in the header and your PLS balance is shown next to your index balance in the Deposit / Redeem panel.

2. Explore existing indices

The Explore tab lists all indices deployed via Index Factory. Each row shows the index symbol, name and contract address. Click a row to open the full index detail page with composition, TVL and controls. You can also copy a shareable URL for any index from this list.

3. Index detail page

On the detail page you’ll see:

TVL (approx) – total value of the basket in PLS based on router quotes.
Price per index token – basket value divided by total supply.
Composition chart – doughnut chart showing relative value of each component.
Your balance – your INDEX token holdings and your current PLS wallet balance.

4. Depositing PLS into an index

In the Deposit section:

Your PLS balance is shown in the green pill next to your INDEX balance.
Enter the amount of PLS you want to deposit, or use Max to spend ~98% of your PLS (leaving some for gas).
Optionally enable Auto-split to send multiple smaller deposits instead of one large transaction.
The Slippage warn % input is used by the preview to highlight large price impact when routing into components.
Click Deposit & mint index and confirm the transaction in your wallet. You’ll receive INDEX tokens representing your share of the basket.

5. Redeeming INDEX back to PLS

In the Redeem section:

Enter how many INDEX tokens you want to redeem, or click Max to use your full balance.
The protocol burns your INDEX and returns PLS backing minus the configured redeem fees.
The line Est. output (after fees) gives you an approximate amount of PLS you’ll receive.

6. Claiming rewards

Some indices route a portion of creator fees into a rewards pool for holders. If this index pays rewards, you’ll see your unclaimed PLS amount in the Rewards section. Click Claim rewards to withdraw them to your wallet when available.

7. Creating a new index

Use the Create Index tab to design your own basket:

Add up to 20 ERC-20 tokens by pasting their contract addresses.
Assign percentage weights; the app can auto-normalise them to 100% if needed.
Set your creator deposit and redeem fees (split between direct wallet and rewards).
Review the live preview chart, fee summary and share link mock before deploying.
Pay the platform creation fee in PLS and confirm the transaction to deploy a new index.
After deployment, share the generated URL or contract address with your community.

8. Risks & disclaimer

Index Factory is experimental. Smart contract risk, price volatility, routing issues and illiquid tokens can all cause loss of funds. Always test with small amounts first and never deposit more than you can afford to lose.
